Lighting The Beacon To Mark The Queen's 90th Birthday. Dunstable, BedfordshireHundreds braved the wind to watch the lighting of the beacon which marked The Queen’s 90th year. The Beacon was lit at precisely 7.30pm as part of a trail of similar lightings across the country, starting in Windsor at 7pm, where the beacon was lit by the birthday girl herself.

The lighting of the beacon was followed be a chorus of Happy Birthday and a big three cheers.
