LEIGHTON-LINSLADE CROQUET CLUB
The Club was formed in 2000 to provide opportunities for those in the area who wish to play croquet. We operate on three courts at Page’s Park, Leighton Buzzard, in pleasant surroundings. The aim of the club is to foster and promote the sport of croquet, providing opportunities for recreation and competition in the Leighton Buzzard and surrounding district.
The club provides all you require to begin with – you just need a pair of flat shoes. We play Golf Croquet and the rudiments of the game are simple to learn. The game is played in ‘singles’ or ‘doubles’ versions and there are local, regional, national and international level tournaments for the real enthusiasts. Everyone helps newcomers to master the basics of Golf Croquet. We also have a number of fully qualified Coaches.
We are members of The Croquet Association, the sport’s national governing body – which provides full insurance cover. We also take part in regional and national competition at appropriate levels.
We encourage people of all ages and physical abilities to try the sport – which is particularly enjoyed by those in their more senior years!
We enjoy our exercise in the fresh air and have FUN! Informality and friendliness are the watchwords.
For more information take a look at our website at
www.leightonlinsladecroquet.org.uk or telephone Judith on 01525 374620.
