The Registrar Service and Wedding Room, which are currently located within Grove House,  will be closing on 8th June but with Priory House open as a licensed location, it means that there is still a Town Council venue available for couples to hold their ceremonies.

Central Bedfordshire Council’s Registration Service will be relocating to Watling House for appointments to register births and deaths and to give notice of marriage or civil partnership.

Councillor Richard Wenham, Executive Member for Corporate Resources said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to work with the Town Council to get the beautiful Priory House approved as a wedding venue. This move is good news for Dunstable as it means that we can continue to provide this important service for residents who want to get married in their home town”.

“By moving our Registration Service to Watling House in the town, it maximises the use of our own buildings, and is familiar to the people of Dunstable who already make appointments to come in and speak to us.”

Ceremonies can still be booked at Grove House to take place on Saturdays up to and including 8th June 2019.
