Love was in the air when company leaders attended the Valentine’s Day launch of the SME Bedfordshire Business Awards.

The beautiful Putteridge Bury, on the outskirts of Luton, hosted the launch event, where bosses pledged to show love for their firms by entering these inaugural awards.
Joint headline sponsors are Stanair, Bedford Borough Council and the county’s branch of FSB.
FSB Bedfordshire branch chairman, Ian Cording, encouraged fellow business leaders to make more of highlighting their successes.
Ian said: “Entering awards is a cost-effective way that entrepreneurs can show true love for their businesses.
“We do great things creating wealth and jobs in Bedfordshire and we should make sure we shout about it.”
The SME branded business awards have already seen resounding launches in Northamptonshire, Surrey, Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire and are open to all businesses with fewer than 250 employees. This includes new businesses and it is free to enter, all online.
Damian Cummins, of SME awards organisers Events and PR said: “Even though the deadline for entries is some way off, people should start the process of registering on the website so they aren’t caught out.”
