An outstanding centre for wildlife that delights and informs wildlife watchers of all ages.
The visitor centre is an ecosustainable building that offers a panoramic view of the reserve.
Our younger visitors can pick up a fantastic Nature Passport that guides them around the reserve as well as participating in various challenges and activities.

Assistance dogs are permitted inside the centre but dogs are not allowed out on the reserve.

College Lake Artists Christmas Fair
1st & 2nd December, 10am – 4pm
The amazing College Lake artists are back. With lots of lovely art and craft for sale you will be sure to find a beautiful gift to take home. There will be some new artists joining them this year so why not come and take a look to see whats on offer!
Wild Winter wreaths Adult Workshop
Sunday 2nd December, 1pm – 3pm
Come along to our popular, annual, festive wreath making afternoon. Using materials from our reserves, why not enjoy a relaxing couple of hours and get creative with willow and winter foliage to produce a beautiful wreath to take away and decorate your home. Make your wreath individually or with a friend and enjoy a glass of wine/juice and a sweet treat too!
Winter Trees at College Lake
Sunday 9th December, 10.30am – 12.30pm
Identifying trees during the summer is often easier as there are leaves to help you but what clues are there to help us during the winter? Join us for a walk around site looking at different trees and learning how to tell them apart.
College Lake Winter Walk
Sunday 27th January, 10.30am – 12.30pm
College Lake is a wonderful haven for a variety of wildlife. Join us for a walk around the lake to see some of those animals and plants that can be seen here in the winter. You will have the chance to learn about the different habitats of the reserve, as well as the history and management of the site.
