Dunstable Businesses Go Flipping Mad For Charity
What started in 2016 as a small challenge between four local businesses – has now got businesses in the town flipping mad!
The 2017 Annual Pancake Race has attracted over 20 teams and the competition is on. With businesses from all sectors including accountants, bars, marketing companies and even a gym taking part the event it is expected to be highly competitive.
Last year’s race saw Deakin-White Estate Agents take home the trophy of Best Flippers competing against the likes of BBC Three Counties, Grove Theatre and Spicer & Co. When asked if they were planning to win in 2017 they said “We are highly driven and competitive by nature as estate agents – we are proud to host and be part of this event for local charities in 2017, but we are definitely here to win!”
This year’s event will be opened by Dunstable’s Town Mayor Peter Hollick who will aid in the judging of the competition and proceeds from the race will go to his charities of the year. Taking place on Tuesday 28th at 12pm at Grove Gardens (outside the Grove Theatre) teams will be racing to win the trophy for ‘Best Flippers 2017’. The event is free to watch and we would encourage all locals to come down and support the teams taking part for this crown!
The cost of entering is £20 per team of 4 people.
